Back-to-School Workshop: A Confident Start

Before the school term began, our sponsored youths gathered for a full-day Back-to-School Workshop. The session focused on academic planning, mental wellness, time management, and peer support.

The workshop offered a space for reflection, bonding, and energizing conversations. With renewed motivation, students stepped into the new term more focused and empowered.

“The workshop helped me organize my goals and face the term with confidence.”
Doreen, Form 3.

School Visits: More Than Just Check-Ins

In the first two weeks of term, our team visited our sponsored youths in their respective schools, the aims for the visits was verify registration, collect academic results, and most importantly have a free space with our youths to listen to how they spend their daily lives in school.

We discussed the day-to-day experiences of our youths: what inspires them, what weighs them down, and how they are pushing forward. These visits help us respond better, ensuring they receive the support they need to shape themselves and succeed.

“School visits reminds me that someone believes in me. It gives me strength to keep going.”

Loveness, Form 1.

Celebrating Form 4 Finishers: Ready for the Next Step

This year, 24 of our sponsored youths are reaching the end of their secondary school journey as they complete Form 4. There’s a lot of anticipation as they revise for their national exams, some nervous, others excited, but all focused. For these youths this moment marks the first real step toward shaping their future, and we’re proud to stand beside them as they give it their all.

“I want to study nursing and be part of the solution in my community. I know I can.”

Anastanzia, Form 4.

Tertiary Success

We are excited to share that one of our university scholarship youth has graduated from Lilongwe University of Natural Resources, where he studied Agricultural Economics. Five more students are also on track to complete their studies later this year. It's been a journey marked by hard work, perseverance, and consistent support.

These students come from various academic backgrounds, and each of their stories is a powerful reminder that with the right opportunity, young people can overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

“I wouldn’t be here without the support I received. Graduation is just the beginning of a journey filled with purpose, gratitude, and determination to give back to my community. As I step into the next chapter of my life, I carry with me the lessons, values, and encouragement that brought me this far”

Samuel, Graduate.
